The Strategy highlights the importance of a Drug-Free Workplace Program in reducing the demand for drugs thoughout the US and in helping drug users get into treatment. The Strategy has three "signature" initiatives:
- reducing prescription drug abuse;
- reducing drugged driving; and
- expanding community-based substance abuse prevention; as well as populations within unique challenges and needs in addressing substance abuse issues: active duty military and veterans; women and their families; college and university students; and thoses in the criminal justice system.
