Physical Damage  insurance coverage is for your truck and trailer.
Primary Auto Liability insurance is required by federal regulations.
General Liability insurance protects the business for any property damage or bodily injury that might occur which does not involve a truck.
Non-Trucking Liability insurance pays for an accident when the driver/truck   is not under dispatch.
Non-Owned Trailer Liability insurance coverage protects a trailer you are pulling for someone else.
Non-Owned Trailer Physical Damage insurance coverage insures the trailer you are pulling for someone else in the event of loss.
Trailer-Interchange Liability insurance coverage protects a trailer you are pulling when there is an interchange agreement in force
Cargo Insurance covers damage or loss of freight in transit.  This insurance coverage can have many exclusions such as unattended vehicle, maximum theft limitations on commodities such as liquor, electronics, garments or others.

All motor carriers (private and for-hire) Heavy Vehicle Use Tax (HVUT) filing due date is July 1, 2009.  HVUT applies to any highway vehicles having taxable gross weights of 55,000 pounds or more and includes trucks, tractors and buses.  Electric filing is required with motor carriers with 25 vehicles or more..  Contact Trucking Start-Up Services, LLC at (866) 419-3812  www.TruckingStartUpService.com.

FMCSA sends insurance reminders to HM carriers.  49 CFR Part 387.9 requires motor carriers transporting hazardous materials (household goods, automobile transporters, etc. 49 CFR Part 172.101) to maintain a minimum of $1,000,000 in insurance.  Your MCS-150 must reflect accurate cargo classification and hazard class/division of HM being transported.
