Most agencies come to trucking from the outside. Trucking Insurance Services started inside it: before our founder ever sold a policy, she owned the trucks the policies were written on.

Eva Clair Bowles ran her own trucks before she was ever an agent. She started with a single tractor and trailer, learned this industry the hard way, and came out of it with strong opinions about how truckers deserve to be treated by the people who insure them.

She opened Trucking Insurance Services in 2007 to be the agent she wished she’d had: someone who answers the phone, explains what you’re buying, and takes your business as seriously as you do. Nearly twenty years later the agency is still family-owned, and that’s still the job.

Trucking insurance is all we do

Trucking and transportation is the only industry we insure. That focus is what lets us understand how your operation actually runs, how underwriters will price it, and how to build a program that protects you without wasting money. You can see the coverages we place for yourself.

We’re also independent. We work for you rather than for any one insurance company, so we take your operation to a network of A-rated trucking carriers, compare the offers, and place you where the coverage and the price fit best. Then we stay on the file, long after the policy is bound.

What that looks like in practice

A while back, a business owner called us needing coverage bound the same day. Without it he would lose a contract, and the opportunity would not come back around for a full year. He had already called more than a dozen agencies without a single callback, partly because the contract needed coverage complicated enough to require real expertise.

Our agent got to work, coordinating with underwriters and assembling the coverage piece by piece. About seven hours later the policy was bound, proof of coverage was in the shipper’s inbox, and the contract was his.

Not every day is that dramatic. Most of what we do is quiet: certificates, renewals, and questions answered the first time you ask them. But the standard is the same either way.

Who we serve, and where

We write owner-operators, new ventures, small fleets, and medium-to-large operations. The program changes with the size of the operation; the way we treat you does not.
